La Route de Crupet

Profondeville-Crupet

Crupet, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia, reveals the charm of its narrow alleyways and its sometimes unusual patrimony.

Profondeville – Crupet

Crupet, a devil’s village

Located in the heart of the Condroz of Namur, Crupet belongs to the closed club of the Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia. Its charming little streets, its old mills and its medieval facades are enough to seduce more than one visitor. Its dungeon, or its church with a 15th century tower, complete this charming picture.

But let’s face it, that’s not the only reason people come to Crupet! In fact, if many tourists gather in this small place nestled in the heart of a green nature, it is above all for …. the “devil’s cave”. Whether you are a fan of religious kitsch or a happy pilgrim, this is the place for you.

E-bike trip offers you the opportunity to discover this region, which is ideal for discovery and original rides. You will start your tour in Profondeville, this beautiful Mosan village has made the river its inseparable companion. You will walk along the Meuse, along the towpath to contemplate the Mosan villas before crossing the sluices for the first time to explore the Bocq valley, which sometimes looks like a real gorge!

After this devilish visit, you will continue your journey through the surrounding countryside and villages to the Domaine de Ronchinne and back to the Meuse.
