Houyet – Chevetogne

Departure from the village of Houyet in direction of the mythical Domaine de Chevetogne, located in the heart of Wallonia. Your thread for this walk is “La Lesse”, a winding river that has carved out a remarkable valley in more ways than one.

From Houyet, you will cross it many times. You go into the bowels of the rock through the Hour tunnel, more than 400 meters long. You discover the path of the Collyre in the state forest of Ciergnon, at the foot of the Royal Castle.

The many rest areas along the river invite you to picnic around the barbecues provided or to laze around and soak your feet in this invigorating stream. Rochefort, a friendly city, is waiting for you to taste its local products, including its famous Trappist beer

Arriving at the Domaine de Chevetogne, which concentrates in one place and over a vast area all the expectations of the family: friendly spaces, walking paths through woods and gardens, sports fields, fabulous playgrounds, grandiose on the scale of the site, and many other activities.
